About Me

Hello!  Welcome to my blog.  Thank you so much for stopping by.

My blog features all types of ideas and topics I have collected throughout my career regarding volunteerism, volunteer management and leadership, community organizing, message development and getting the word out.  I do not claim to know everything in the world about these topics, and so I ask you for your comments, ideas, and suggestions from your experiences to help me learn more in these areas.  I would be honored if you would follow my blog and join me for a conversation to share your knowledge and expertise.

Through a lifelong commitment to volunteering, I have served others and the community through service for many years, including twelve years professional experience in volunteer leadership.

For 8 years, I directed a premier volunteer program for a local government agency where I had the opportunity to work with thousands of inspiring individuals, from corporate employees and neighborhood association representatives, to Rotarians, Faith-based groups, and high school service learners, who made a difference in the lives of others. I have also led volunteers through political campaigns, service clubs, and my personal faith-based organization. I continue to learn from and about individuals who invest their time in making their communities a better place to live. I never underestimate the power of human capital to improve the world around us.

I endeavor to inspire you to leverage the human resource of your organization and engage in rewarding volunteer opportunities that improve communities and transform lives.

I enthusiastically speak, train, and advise on the topic of motivating, connecting, and engaging individuals and organizations to volunteer in opportunities that truly make a difference in the communities where they live and work.
